LIVNG MESSIAH MISSION HOLDS ANNUAL CONVENTION

BOJI-BOJI OWA (Ika Weekly) – The Pastor in charge of Living Messiah Deliverance Mission, Boji-Boji Owa, Pastor Godwin Oriahi has called on wealthy members of the society to do something to positively affect the lives of the less privileged and not to look down on them as outcasts.

 

Pastor Oriahi make the call while delivering a thought –provoking speech at the 2007 Annual Convention of Living Messiah Deliverance Mission, No. 47, Convent Street Boji-Boji Owa.

He urged those who are lucky to be rich to do things by which they should, be remembered, adding that the only way a rich person can give thanks to God is to help the less- privileged in the society.

             

According to Pastor Oriahi, any wealthy man or woman should regard his wealth as a treasure from God as he pointed out that God always increase the possession of those who show gratitude to Him by giving alms to the poor.

 

The Pastor said the annual convention of the church is to provide the opportunity for members and Christians of all denominations to give thanks to God through prayers, visitation to charitable homes, Bible studies and other religious activities.

 

He advised the youths to shun violence, cultism and other social vices that are capable of endangering their future.

 

The Pastor further congratulated the recently elected and appointed public officers of Ika origin for their elections and appointments and urged them to use their good offices to attract basic amenities, such as good roads, Pipe-borne water, constant electricity supply and employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed Ika youths.
