February, 2012 and another woman, Mrs. Nwajei, who was with the late
woman was seriously injured by an unknown person at along a farm road in Agbor, while on their way to get
firewood from the farm.
Speaking to Ika Weekly
correspondents, Mrs. Janet Nwajei who was seriously injured by the unknown person
on the road said it was about 9:am in the morning while going to the farm with
her friend Mrs. Erikpume Veronica, they
suddenly saw a young man who at first greeted them and they responded.
Later they saw the young man coming back towards them with a log of wood.
Before they could run, the man used the wood on them and according to her “I
fainted and never knew what happened as I suddenly fell down. When I regained
consciousness and used my left hand to touch my colleague, I discovered that she was
already dead. I struggled to the major road before a good Samaritan helped me
to one of the hospitals, where I was given medical attention.”
Ika Weekly gathered that the
two elderly women were between the ages of sixty five and seventy years. They
both reside at Queen Street, Agbor.
Speaking with Ika Weekly at
her residence, Mrs. Favour pleaded with the DPO of Agbor police station to help
mobilize his men to search every nook and crannies of the town, in order to
bring the culprit to book.
