CHIEF DUGBERE OKOH JOSEPH DECLARES FOR PDP IKA SOUTH CHAIRMANSHIP SEAT

A business man and a pragmatic politician of the Peoples Democratic Party stalwart in Ika South, Chief Dugbere Okoh Joseph has formally declared his intension to vie for the chairmanship seat in the PDP national congress that will commence very soon. Chief Dugbere made his intension known on Wednesday, 1st January, 2012, in an enlarged gathering of PDP faithfuls in Hon. Martins Okonta�s compound, the honourable representing Ika South in the Delta State House of Assembly at Abavo in Delta State.
The Abavo born business man said as a politician that has gotten wealth of experiences and also as a director of Companies, including Winners Lodge, Agbor said if he is given the opportunity to be chairman of PDP in Ika South, he will not only carry every member of the party along but will also remain committed to the party.
According to Chief Dugbere �My promise is to restore confidence and trust which has for sometime now, eluded our local government. I also want to assure every body that when I am elected everybody will be carried along. I see myself as a chief servant of the people, if given the office, not otherwise because I am there to serve the people as a chief servant. I see that the pursuance of peace in the local government will be paramount. It will start from the office of the Chairman and I hope if sanity is given to that office, every other thing will follow, that will take us to the top. And as a Christian, I will never betray my people of Ika South if elected into office. I therefore urged my people this time around to allow somebody with the fear of God and wealth of experience to occupy that office as the person of myself to serve them.
Hon Martins Okonta, member representing Ika South in Delta State House of Assembly urged PDP faithful to support Chief Dugbere in his plight and saying that he has confidence in him.
Others who spoke at the meeting, said that for the past years, the Abavo people has not been represented in the chairmanship seat of Ika South as now is their turn to produce a chairman for Ika South. Meanwhile, Chief Dugbere has promised not to disappoint his teeming supporters and party faithful if voted into office. The event was witnessed by a large number of PDP Supporters.
