n and visits to the various project sites that
Jim Ovia has executed, he appreciated his efforts and the level of road
rehabilitation going on in Imudia Street
which include construction of new drainages (gutters), filling the bad portions and to tar the
street. He also urged the construction company in charge of the project, Aron
Engineering Company to intensify efforts and also make use of quality materials
provided by Jim Ovia to repair the street, adding that the philanthropist is a
man of high standard and good qualities.
Mr.
Aziken, while expressing disappointment over some groups of persons trying to
take the glory of the rehabilitation of Imudia Street stated clearly that the
road rehabilitation is being financed personally by Jim ovia. He further
advised residents of Imudia Street to help maintain the road by keeping the
drainage free of refuse.
When
Ika weekly visited the lower Imudia Street which is currently under going
repairs, the project supervisor who did not want his name on print disclosed
that the contract was given to his company by Jim Ovia and has also mobilized
for the commencement of the contract. He added that the construction going on
at the upper level of Imudia Street, stretching between Mariere and Dr. White
was awarded to a different company by the state government.
The
supervisor also lauded Jim Ovia for his good works in Ika land and thereby
challenged other sons and daughters of Ika land to join Jim Ovia in moving Ika
nation to a greater height.
Some
of the residents who spoke with Ika weekly correspondent, Ikechukwu Michael,
Uche Emefiele, Mrs. Patience Osazuwa, Obianke Simon and many others in their
collective remarks expressed great joy, and appreciation, stating that they
have long been waiting for God to send a helper to help them repair the Street
which God eventually answered their prayers by sending Jim ovia to them to help
alleviate their suffering and rescue them from danger. They however prayed God
to continue to lift Jim Ovia higher and never to go down.
