Mr. Andrew
Egonte, popularly known as Civilian General has been commended for bringing the
only Command Secondary School in South South
of Nigeria to Mbiri, Ika Northeast Local Government Area, Delta State.
The commendation was given last week by Chief Dr. Yomi Hassan when Mr. Egonte
visited to commiserate with the
trado-medical doctor on the death of his mother, Mrs. Victoria Mojisola Oduselu,
who passed on in December last year.
Chief Hassan thanked Mr. Egonte
for his selfless services to his native land
and beyond, saying that he is happy that Major General Yakubu Usman,
rtd, had during his visit to the elder statesman explained the vital roles Mr.
Egonte played in the establishment of the school. He called on the people of
Ika land to always appreciate their sons and daughters whom they know have impacted positively on their well being
rather than showering praises on those who do not deserve them

I salute the great man of my time. I met him last week and he opened my eyes to selfless service to our land. I join other well meaning Ika sons and daughters in wishing our illustrious son better and fulfilled life.
