Committee member, representing ward 18 in Ika South Local Government Area of
Delta State, Hon Boi Azuka Glory on the occasion of the 14th democracy day
celebration in Nigeria, has said that
the best military regime cannot be compared to the worst democratic rule,
noting that in everyway democracy is
better than military rule.
The young councilor, noted that
since 1999 that the military handed over power to civilian the successes
achieved so far has exceeded expectations. He called for unity among Nigerians
to move the nation forward, adding that Nigeria as a nation has come to stay as
one entity.
He urged the people of Ika and
Delta State to continue to consolidate
on the gains of democratic rule and continue to observe the essential democratic tenets for a
more prosperous local and state
government.
He exhort our political class
and Ika people to continue to pursue ideas and actions that would strengthen
rather than undermine democracy.
He said that unity among the
political class, would help in sustaining
democracy and that rancor is a deterrent to development.
Hon Glory congratulated Nigeria
for its 14th years of uninterrupted democratic rule, he charged Nigerians to be patient and
embrace democracy in all ramifications the political class should continue to
work in unity to win the confidence and respect of the people,” he said
