It was an atmosphere of joy as
Project Hope, situated along Owanta Alishime road by Power Line, Boji-Boji, Owa
on 1st June, 2013, marked its 6th graduation ceremony.
The
graduation ceremony witnessed the gathering of who is who in Delta State.
Speaking
at the ceremony, Bishop. I. Igbinosa celebrated with the graduants. Reading
from Acts of Apostles 16v 9 a he stated that the only source of hope is God and
urged the well to do in the society to always remember the less privileged.
He
described Rev. Thomas Ukwute as a kingdom star, as God has been using him to
solve many problems of his children.
Bishop
Igbinosa while admonishing Christians to be serious in the service of God,
noted that for a Christian to be great in life, he must serve God in truth and
in spirit.
Bishop
Igbinosa called on the government, politicians and well to do individuals to
sow into the lives of the less privileged, adding that it will help reduce
crime in the society.
In
his address, the chairman of Project Hope Initiative, Rev. Thomas Ukwute,
stated that the foundation was established to assist the poor people in the
society so that they can fend for themselves.
Rev.
Ukwute, who is the General Overseer, Anchor of Hope Ministries disclosed that
many lives have been battered and poverty has robbed many of becoming who they
were created to be, stressing that since 2005 to date, Project Hope has freely
trained and empowered over 145 less privileged persons. He thanked the partners
who have consistently sent in their pledges.
Senator,
Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa pledged his support for the foundation. He urged all present
to emulate the initiator, who he said has used his hard earned money to invest
on people. He encouraged the graduants to work hard.
In their separate remarks, the
Chief of Staff Government House, Asaba, Dr. Festus Okubor and the commissioner
and for Commerce Industry, Dr. Kingsley Emu thanked Rev Okwute for the project
and promised to help uplift it. Dignitaries present were, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi
Okowa Dr. Festus Okubor, Chief Lawerence Oshiegbu, Dr. Kingsley Emu, Chief
Godwin Ogadi and many others.
