The killers of a popular Agbor based Igbo businessman, Mr.
Levi Ibeabuchi who was shot at the busy Relief Market in Onitsha, Anambra State
are yet to be found. The news of his death, on the 4th of June 2013, threw the
Igbo community and traders in Agbor into mourning.
Speaking
with Ika Weekly correspondents, the brother of the deceased, Mr. Eugene
Ibeabuchi said that the hoodlums who took his brothers life are yet to be
found. He alleged that his brother’s death was arranged by someone who knew him
and has been monitoring his movements. “He was travailing in his bus alone and
when he got to Onitsha, he was accusted at gun point. They first shot his
tyres, then demanded for the money he was carrying in his bag which he gave to
them,” he said
Speaking
further Mr. E. Ibeaubuchi said from the information gathered from eyewitnesses
the bandits shot the tyre of the bus
before killing his brother.
“The
corpse has been deposited at the mortuary in our village, Mbaino, in Imo State.
His burial will be on the 9th of August, 2013.
Mr. Ibeabuchi said that his late brother was very kind to him, and also
to many people who are closed to him. The death of my brother will create a big
vacuum in the family, as his death was not expected “he said. He advised the
family to remain calm as God will reveal the culprits.
