Seven Solar Panels from MTN Mast which has the capacity to
draw Network from 5-kms to its station was about three weeks ago stolen from
where it was being mounted at No 11 Ogbe Olohen, Ute-Erumu in Ika Northeast
Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking
with Ika Weekly reporter at the scene, Mr. Christopher Nwachokor, the Okpara of
the community, said they woke up early in the hours of Tuesday 11th June to discover that all the
solar panels that provide Network to the community have been stolen. “We no
longer make or receive calls, except the little network that come from
Ekuku-Agbor only if you climb on a tree
. That you can use your phone.” He said.
On
behalf of his community he appealed to the government to assist in replacing those panels that were stolen so as
to enable his community to have access to MTN network. He said that the entire
community will not fail to be grateful if the government grants their request
