SURE-P TRADITION RULERS IN IKA NORTHEAST GIVE OKUNONKE PASS MARK

 

Traditional
Rulers in Ika North East local government area, Delta State have given the
chairman of the local government, Princess Ijenwa Okunonke a pass mark for the
effective distribution of the Subsidy Re-Investment Programme and Empowerment
(SURE-P) fund sent to the local government.

            The royal fathers who spoke through
the Obi of Owa kingdom, His Royal Majesty Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II shortly
after their meeting with Princess Okunonke in her office at the Ika North East
council secretariat, Owa-Oyibu on Tuesday, 9th July, 2013, said that they have
carefully looked at the activities of the council boss with particular
reference to SURE-P and discovered that she has done perfectly well.

            While saying that they have absolute
confidence in Princess Okunonke administration, the royal fathers disclosed
that this is the first time they are having a council chairman who is fully
committed to their well being. They therefore enjoined their subjects to give
Princess Okunonke the necessary support so that she can do more.

Responding
Okunonke thanked the traditional rulers, saying that she was honoured with
their coming.

            She promised to continue to run a
transparent government in  Ika Northeast,
for the benefit of every indigene of the local government.

            Present during the meeting were the
traditional rulers of Owa, Akumazi, Ute-Okpu, Umunede, Mbiri, Igbodo,
Ute-Ogbeje, Otolokpo and the Okpara-Uku of Idumuesa represented by Chief Paul
Egbule, the Ozomor of Idumuesa . Others include Hon. Joe Emeden and Rita
Balogun.
