An SUV
Jeep heading towards Asaba axis on Wednesday evening, September 3, 2014 rammed
into the railways line along the new Benin/Asaba expressway, Agbor, in Ika
South local government area.
Onlookers at the scene told Ika
Weekly reporter that they were surprised to hear that the driver of the ill
fated car survived the accident. He was said to have been taken to the hospital
by members of Federal Road Safety Commission for medical attention. The cause
of the accident was not immediately known but however, some onlookers were of
the view that the accident might have occurred as a result of hot chase by some
security officer working near the railway line. Some attributed it to break
failure.
They
thanked God for saving the drivers life.
As at the time of filling this
report, the car was still on the railway line.
