EWURU, AGBOR (Ika Weekly)- The children and youths harvest thanksgiving of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Ewuru, Ika South Local Government Area comes up on Sunday October 21, 2007.
A report from Ewuru said arrangements have been stepped up as youths are already clearing the church premises and decorating the Church Hall in preparation for the great day.
According to the report, the Dean of school of business studies, College of Education, Agbor, Mr. P.I. Onyekonwe will be the chairman of the occasion to be supported by eminent personalities.
The chairman Catholic Youth organization of Nigeria (CYON) Brother Godwin Giweze, Chairman Harvest committee, Brother Victor Agwaze and the secretary, Brother Matthew Agholor have jointly appealed to the youths to take part in the church cleaning exercise and to behave orderly during the celebration to ensure hitch free thanksgiving and Bazar sales which will commence shortly after the Holy mass on that day which will be conducted by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Modebei, and the Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Peter Okofor.
