The residents
and people of Igbanke Community in Orhrionmwon Local Government Area of Edo
State, may soon heave a sigh of relief going by the words of the Branch Manager,
Fidelity Bank Agbor, Mr. Julius Okonta, where he promised the resolve of the
bank to introduce a ‘Mini Branch’ (Cash Centre) in the community which will
cater for most of their banking and financial needs.
He made this statement during the
presentation of a 2.5 KVA generating set won by a loyal customer and indigene
of the Igbanke community, Mr. Uwabor Uka, popularly known as ‘BENCOLO,’ on
Friday December 4th, 2015 at the Igbanke Market Square.
The Branch Manager stated that it
was regrettable that the community has no banks or other financial
institutions, stressing that it was indeed, cumbersome and a high risk factor
for residents to travel down to neigbouring communities like Agbor, to make
their financial transactions, as this exposes them to robbery incidents and
other road mishaps. He therefore, promised to facilitate and push for the
setting up of a mini branch (cash centre) in the community, where all financial
transaction could be carried out and thus, mitigate the stress and inconvenience
people pass through in order to make their cash transactions.
“It therefore, behooves on the
Igbanke community to increase their patronage of Fidelity Bank, so as to fast
track the commencement of the cash centre project,” he stated.
He also urged residents of the
community to take advantage of the ongoing ‘Pay 4 Shelter Promo,’ by opening
accounts with the bank and stand the chance of winning amazing prizes including
the star prize duplex in choice areas such as; Lekki, Lagos, Abuja and
Port-Harcourt, with other consolation prizes such as; generators, table-top
refrigerators among other fantastic prizes. He concluded by wishing the
esteemed customers of the bank, a merry Christmas and new year felicitations.
On his part, the recipient of the
generating set, Mr. Uwabor Uka who was full of joy and excitement and expressed
his profound gratitude to the bank for their laudable gesture, describing it as
a way of rewarding the commitment and loyalty of their customers all through
the years. He enjoined his fellow kinsmen to partake of the excellent and
sterling services the bank had to offer, as he prayed for the bank to grow from
strength to strength.
