A report from Owa-Oyibu says that a body known and called Delta North Traditional Rulers Union has been established. The body, made up of all Traditional Rulers in the area has as its Chairman, the Obi of Owa Kingdom, Immanuel Efeizomor, the second.
According to the Secretary, Chief Amos Onyeagwu, the decision to establish the Union was one of the decision taken at a meeting of Traditional Rulers in the area held at the Palace in Owa-Oyibu.
One of the objectives of the Union is to Foster Peace and unity among Traditional Rulers in the area and their people.
The Union will also be a vehicle for strengthening the relationship between the traditional rulers and government at all levels and also advance the cause of development in the State. According to chief Onyeagwu, another cardinal principle of the union is to emphasize and sustain the doctrine of traditional Rulers, being their brother’s keepers at all times
