The results for the election held on the 10th May 2008 released today indicate that Mr. Festus Iwerebor and the PDP won the election in Ika North east. According to Delta radio (The Voice of Delta) "PDP won all the fifteen councillorship positions while in Aniocha South the PDP won twelve with the Accord party winning two councillorship positions. The result of the election now confirms Mr. Festus Iwerebor as the elected Chairman of Ika North east LGA.
IKA SOUTH (So far) …
The result for Ika South LGA is being awaited. Reports reaching Ikaworld.com indicate that election ballot boxes for ward 7 which includes areas around Baleke street down to the Orogodo river was smatched by thugs that came along with the Delta State Speaker when they realized that PDP was losing the votes there as people where casting protest votes against PDP.
