Ika Federal Constituency of Delta State, Victor Nwokolo, has filed a
petition with the police in Agbor, Delta State, complaining against the
Returning Officer for the constituency, Mr. O. G. Avwioro, over his
“persistent” refusal to release his result sheet to him (Nwokolo). He
polled 17,205 to defeat the incumbent, Hon. Doris Uboh, who scored
14,729 votes. Festus Okoh of Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) polled 9,533

(DPP). PDP win in Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, Oshimili

* Ifeanyi Okowa wins in Delta North Senatorial race with a total of 97, 557 votes. DPP 66, 154 votes.

Chiegile is in hospital with broken head. His children are by his side as we report. Sources present at the fight say it all started with a missunderstand between Okowa’s people and Echiegile. Unofficial sources tell us that Okowa swept Ika NE. There is apprehension that the election held in Ika NE will be cancelled. As at the time of reporting everyone of political relevance is heading for Asaba.Ika South: Collation of result is ongoing at the LG secretariat. Those present say in spite of minor arguments the result appears to be "clean and clear".09.30 AMAccording to Ika North east LG Chairman this morning, Okowa (senate) swept Ika North East. local councils making the district."Saturdays elections in Ika South and Ika North East was peaceful. No reports of violence.
