opportunity to represent Ika interest in Abuja,
she will certainly excel.

have come to say thank you, my dear people of Igbodo for your support,
encouragement and prayers in the last April general elections. All of you have
made me proud and at the same time proved to me that you really love me. I have
the development of Igbodo and our people at heart. I will not relent until the
dream and vision I have for my people come to reality.”
On the House of
Representatives re-run election coming up in Ika North-East next year Dr. Mrs.
Okobah said she is not stepping down for anybody since she did not do that from
the beginning, despite the pressures on her to step down. “If they call us for
a re-run election, I will participate. But for now, nothing to say on the
re-run until the ruling of the Court of Appeal.” Dr. Mrs Okobah stated.
While reiterating
her 3 point agenda of quality education, quality healthcare and woman/youth
empowerment, she said she will continue to contribute her own quota to the
development of Ika nation.
On the question,
whether she supports Federal Government’s plan to remove fuel subsidy starting
from January next year, Dr. Mrs. Okobah said this is the wrong time to take
such a decision. She maintained that if fuel subsidy is removed, it is going to
cause untold hardship on the lives of many Nigerians, particularly the poor ones.
