proved abortive.

the construction of drainages and tarring of the streets.

Council Chairman, Hon Mrs. Princess Ijenwa Okwunonke on the successful
implementation of the subsidy re-investment programme (SURE-P) in the local

streets.

Pastor

International, located at 9, Alika lane told newsmen that the bad state of the
road is so alarming to the extent that whenever it rains, the heavy flow of
water that flows across the street overwhelming.

The clergy,

him about the terrible state  of the
road. He appealed to the government, lovers of good will  to intervene and bring back hope to residents
in the area.

Mr.
Uwaezeke Francis, a resident at no 1, Alika Lane, noted “the road is so bad to
the extent that the lives of our children are always in danger whenever there
is rainfall. Our properties are not spared. On our own as residents in the
area, we have tried our best but all has been to no avail. We are begging the
government, politicians representing us at different levels of government and
parastatals to come and help tar our streets.”
