It was a moment of joy and celebration for the, One hundred and ten widows at Igbodo, in Ika North East LGA of Delta State , on Thursday, May 24, 2018, when prophet Joseph Igbodo, in his usual act of benevolence, visited and presented some food items and toiletries to the widows.
The General Overseer, Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International and the proprietor, Job Orphanage Home and St. Stephen Trust Widows Home all in Agbor , Prophet Joseph Igbodo, in company of some of his pastors visited the widows who came from different quarters of the community, at the open field of the obi’s palace.
In a brief exhortation, he, who took his bible reading from the book of 1kings 17:8-16, spoke on the Theme, “God Remember You Today” admonishing the widows, the Prophet of God informed them that the Almighty God who remembered the Widow of Zarephath, whose condition was very bad, during the time of Prophet Elijah, and was richly blessed, when God remembered her. He urged them to always be committed to the things of God and never to give up, emphasizing that God in his mercies can change their frustration to abundance of joy and blessings.
Continuing, he charged them to be steadfast with God, assuring that God being the husband of the widows will not allow them and their children to suffer. The Prophet of God informed the women that since God has today remembered them, henceforth they will continually enjoy God’s blessings and goodness. He encouraged those that are not Christians among the widows, to surrender their lives totally to God, saying that God is the Almighty God that repairs life and urged the evil ones among them including those that retards the progress of their neighbors and community to repent and pray to God to change their lives. Speaking further, Prophet Igbodo informed them that the program has a divine mission which enables him and his team to reach out to widows in the rural community, and assured them that he would always visit the community.
The Prophet of God appreciated the Obi of Igbodo Kingdom, HRM Obi (Barr) Ikechukwu .N. Osedume 1, for being around to receive the Prophet and his team. Continuing, he informed the gathering that Igbodo Kingdom is blessed for having a King who honors and fear God, saying that because the king believes in the Prophet of God, prosperity has entered the land.
Items presented to the widows include; 19 Bags of Rice, 60 Cartoons of Indomie, 30 rolls of Tissue Paper, 25 Cartons of Bobo fruit juice, 18 Packs of Cheese Balls and 10 Cartons of Cabin Biscuits.
Prophet Igbodo, while presenting the items, informed the women that his money is not in the items he brought, saying that they were provided by God through spirited individuals and organization and urged them to always remember him and the people God is using to provide for their needs in their prayers.
High point of the visit was the prayer session by all present, for the King of Igbodo, the Kingdom, Prophet Igbodo and his team, the widows and their families.
Mrs, Esther Uzuyem, on behalf of the widows appreciated Prophet Igbodo, for his humanitarian services.
In the same vein, His Royal Majesty Obi (Barr) Ikechukwu Osedume 1, the Obi of Igbodo Kingdom, appreciated prophet Joseph Igbodo, for his prayers and the gift presented to the widows and prayed God to bless the Prophet.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo was accompanied on the visit by pastor Mrs. Igbodo, Rev. Williams Ogaga, Pastor M. Ukwuoma, Pastor .A. Ikpegbu, Pastor .F. Nzeh, Pastor Osas Imas, Pastor .P. Ojougboh, Pastor Chucks Monday and Brother Chucks Ossai.
