ISAAC ULEBOR DECRIES POOR STATE OF ERIGBE PRIMARY SCHOOL

 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
chairman in Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Isaac Ulebor has decried the
poor state of infrastructures in Erigbe Primary School, Agbor. Hon. Ulebor, who
was in the school on Tuesday, 30th April, 2013 expressed dissatisfaction over
the dilapidated state of some of the buildings in the school, describing it as
unconducive for learning.

                He
commended the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for the giant stride
he is taking to develop education in the state, even as he appealed to the
state government and the executive chairman, State Universal Basic Education
Board (SUBEB) Chief Mrs Pat Ejeteh to come to the aid of the school.

                The
assistant headmistress of the school, Evang. Mrs. Ruth Amieghemen, while taking
Hon. Ulebor round the school said the school which was founded in 1906  has produced many great personalities in the
society. She said the poor state of infrastructures in the school is
discouraging learning, hence, many parents are finding it difficult to register
their children/ wards in the school. He mentioned  some challenges facing  the school to include dilapidated building,
lack of accessible roads, fence, toilet and library. She appealed to the state
government and well meaning individuals to come to the aid of the school as it
is teaching children who will be leaders of tomorrow.
