The unbelievable happened on the 23rd
August, 2013 as a married woman and mother of two children, Glory Sunday
allegedly impregnated by a secret lover died while trying to abort the child.
The
mother of two hails from Otolokpo in Ika North East local government, while her
secret lover (a middle age man) is a native of Igbodo, also in Ika North East.
Speaking
to Ika Weekly correspondent on the issue, the Divisional Police Officer in charge
of Igbodo division, ASP Robinson Okpegboro said one Mrs. Nkem Morka from Umu
Quarters Otolokpo, came to the station narrating that her daughter. Glory
Sunday, aged, 25years old called her on phone to come to Igbodo that she is at
the point of death. She said when she got to Igbodo, she saw her daughter
writhing in pains and immediately rushed her to Stephen Okoh Memorial Hospital,
Igbodo, from wher the resident doctor, refered them to Central Hospital, Agbor,
but unfortunately, she died before getting to the hospital.
Speaking
to newsmen, the alleged secret lover,
Mr. Lucky Boi, who is now cooling off at the Igbodo police station denied the
allegation, saying that the deceased was once his girl friend but they departed
since 2012.
Reacting
to the incident, ASP Okpeboro stated that the suspect and the family of
deceased are helping the police with useful information that will aid them in
their investigations.
