The ripples of the arrest and arraignment of the former Governor of Delta state is being felt, even in the house of representatives and in the political arenas of Ika North east and Ika South local government areas.
According to Saharareporters “Two lawmakers of the National Assembly, a Senator from the South Eastern state of Anambra, Annie Okonkwo who was allegedly convicted on drug charges in the US and Doris Uboh (convicted for credit card fraud with her brother) who represents Ika federal constituency of Delta State are said to be scared stiff about the desire of the FBI to send a database of convicted US-based Nigerian criminals to their Nigerian security counterparts.”
According to Doris Uboh’s CV, she attended NewYork Inst of Tech (USA) Bsc 1987, Suffolk University Boston(USA) MBA 1989. She also has her constituency address at 97 Lagos Asaba Rd Agbor Delta State.
Recently, there has been a flurry of reports that some Ika persons running for political office in Ika South and Ika North east have been convicted in Europe or jumped bail in Europe and fled to Nigeria.
