HON. IBUDE THANKS THE PEOPLE OF IKA SOUTH FOR THEIR SUPPORT

The executive chairman of Ika South Local Government, Honourable Hilary Ibude has said that his primary interest is to see that the people of the Local Government area benefits maximally from his administration.

Hon Ibude who was fielding questions from Ika Weekly on Monday in his office said he remained grateful to the entire people of Ika South who had stood firmly in support of his administration in the last one year. He particularly thanked men of God whom he said have supported him in prayer.

The executive chairman equally eulogized members of the local government legislature, saying they have been the engine powering his vision of a better Ika South. He said that they have remained consistent in their support for the infrastructural development of the L.G.A, adding that for their unwavering support, his administration would not have achieved the success recorded so far.

Hon. Ibude remarked that God has been his abiding strength, saying that he receives directives from God and not man "That is why we have been able to do what we have done in the last one year. We will do more with co-operation from the legislative arm. I am completely for my people and not to meet any selfish interest or satisfy any individual I am more interested in what my people will remember me for. The local government area is for everyone of us", he stressed.

On how he hopes to complete on-going projects in the face of dwindling allocation from the federation account, the chairman said all pending project are still in the budget, which he stated will be completed before the year runs out.

Hon. Ibude Praised the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan on his three point agenda, which he said has changed the face of infrastructural development in the state. He said that the governor is interested in the speedy development of the entire state, and called for the support of Deltans particularly the people of Ika South for the governor.

Hon. Ibude appealed for continued support and prayers from the people of Ika South, especially ministers of God so that in his words "our people can enjoy the dividends of democracy which has eluded them for so many years".
