FACE CANCER GIRL STILL CRYING OUT FOR ASSISTANCE

Health they say is wealth. That is why when a healthy person complains of lack of money, the wise person will look at the person and wonder if he/she appreciates or knows the best thing (health) which God has given to him, for until one losses his health he does not appreciate that it is the best gift from God. This is the case of a 20-year old Ika daughter, Miss Arimokwu Joy of Ekuku-Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area a girl in pains. Her years on earth since she became sensible she have been that of pure distress as what doctors diagnosed as cancer of the face has almost ruined her entire face.

Miss Arimokwu Joy who walked into Ika Weekly Office was so dejected by the cancer that has spread through half her face. She was barely audible as she spoke of her plight to reporter.

She disclosed that her parents were dead and she is left with only one brother called Okechukwu, whom she described as a welfare officer. Disclosing her illness as something she grew up with, which is getting worse by the day. She stated that she was at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH where some medical tests were conducted on her. Miss Arimokwu further said that she has been asked to pay N500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) for a surgery to be carried out on her, in order to cure her ailment.

The face cancer patient, Miss Joy Arimokwu therefore appeals to all public minded individuals, philanthropic organizations, NGOs, corporate bodies and the government to come to her aid by raising the money for the surgical operation, as she has expended even the little she had in trying to find a cure to the cancer that is ravaging her face.

Miss Arimokwu, who is positive of the magnanimity of the Ika indigene, both home and abroad, said that they will not leave her unattended.
