UTE-OGBEJE – A 25-year-Old girl, Miss Ijeoma N. Nnabuife of Ute-Ogbeje in Ika North east Local Government Area of Delta State, was shot dead by unknown gun-men in Asaba the State Capital on the 4th September 2007.
The father of the deceased, Chief Nnabuife Odili, the Obanyiabor of Ute-Ogbeje kingdom said his daughter late Miss Ijeoma was residing in her relatives’ house in Asaba since she rounded off her secondary education two years ago.
He said that on 4th September 2007, he received information that her daughter has been shot dead by unknown person, adding that when he got to Asaba he discovered that the body of his daughter has been deposited at a mortuary in Asaba.
Chief Odili lamented over his daughter’s death, and said that the Police investigation in Asaba confirmed that Ijeoma was killed by armed robbers.
