The member representing Ika North East in the State House of Assembly Honourable Sam Obi has expressed shock at the extent of damage to the science block of Ute-Ogbeje Grammar School recently ravaged by rainstorm.
Honourable Obi who visited the school for an on-the-spot assessment of the damage made a cash donation of one hundred thousand Naira for immediate repairs of the science block to enable the students write the on-going Senior School Certificate Examination.
He said the donation was his personal contribution to the development of education in his constituency. The lawmaker who is the chairman of the House Committee on Education had earlier ip the year made a similar donation to Ute-Erumu Grammar School in Ika North East local govt area.
