OWA-OYIBU – Mrs. Veronica Isibor and one of her sons have been arrested at Owa Oyibu and charged with allegedly murdering her husband Hon. Thomas Isibor at the early hours of 3rd July 2008.
The late Hon. Isibor?s headless body was found along Owa Alero cemetery road. He was suspected to have been killed in conspiracy with his wife and children. The wife was said to have threatened to get rid of her husband by any means. Mrs. Isibor was said to have been detained by the police about a week ago for collaborating with her children to assault her husband and got released on Thursday.
According to Ika weekly, trouble started when the deceased was accused by the wife and children for being responsible for the blindness of one of his sons, Onyekachukwu Isibor.
The immediate cause of his death has not been ascertained. Isibor who was the Councillor representing Idumuesah ward, Ika North east Local Government area was reported to have been living in fear of his life at Ali Egbo quarter in Idumuesah when he was murdered.
The question on the lips of people now is how did the headless body of Hon. Isibor get to Cemetery road of a neighbouring community? Was he killed in a nearby bush and later deposited his body at the road side?
