When news of the arrest of a man from Edo State who was caught at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport with some kilograms of cocaine, was made on radio stations most people though that someone from Edo State was about to play a fast one on the officials of the airport. But little was it known that the man in question is a prominent politician from Ika land.
According to drug enforcement agents at the airport who apprehended Chief Paul Osiemele popularly known as Shegerege who was travelling under name of Mr. Eme Zuru Ayortor, he swallowed nearly 2 kilograms of cocaine, and as he was about to board the plane at the airport it was discovered that the man was carrying that amount of cocaine inside him. It was gathered that on examination, the bio-data of the top politician showed that he was from Edo State. But further investigations by narcotics officials and other security agents later revealed that the man, who has been using different names to cover up his shoddy deals is indeed from Delta State and an indigene of Ika land.
It was revealed, upon strict interrogation, that Mr. Eme Zuru Ayortor (Chief Paul Osiemele), who is of a gentle disposition and a qualified pharmacist that studied at the University of Wisconsin, Unity States of America, wanted to run for an election in the 2011 political dispensation. It was further gathered that Mr. Ayotor had earlier failed in his bid to secure a place in the 2007 election; and was determined to win the people’s mandate this time around, at all cost. He told security agents that it was in his bid to run for election that he decided to carry cocaine which will enable him make enough money for it. He was however caught through a body scanner at the airport and was subsequently arrested by security agents.
As at the time of filing this report, Mr. Eme Zuru Ayotor (Chief Paul Osiemele) is still helping the police to unravel a wide range of drug trafficking cartel across the globe which he is suspected to belong.
