FESTUS IWEREBOR PROMISES TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE PEOPLE

IKA WEEKLY – The chairmanship aspirant of PDP in Ika North East Local Government Area, Mr. Festus Iwerebor have promised to bring good governance to the grassroots level.

                     

He made the promise in a meeting with all PDP members at his residence in Boji-Boji Owa.

                     

Mr. Iwerebor pointed out that three cardinal objectives of transparency, accountability, human capital development and infrastructural development will be the basis of his administration if elected as chairman.

                     

He promised to rehabilitate all dilapidated projects, markets, roads primary health care centers and trailer parks in the Local Government Area. He said to achieve these aims; he will create a private sector partnership, which will definitely make room for human capital development.

                     

The personalities that will form this body will execute a project, finance it, complete it and handover to government for according to him, the system is known as build, operate and transfer system.

                     

Talking about transparency and accountability, Mr. Iwerebor said the budgeting system of his administration will be open as to how money comes in, and what it is spent for will not be hidden for the people to see.

                     

For the human empowerment development, he said he will create an avenue for people to acquire skill, remarking that he will send those interested to places where they can undergo training, after which they will be given micro-credit to establish their business

                     

Mr. Iweriebor said he would maintain and sustain the name IWEREBOR by performing creditably well as he will not let people down.

                     

The chairmanship aspirant thanked those who have been supporting him, promised not to disappoint them, adding that they should always have confidence in him.

                     

He also urged his co-aspirants to always play the game according to the rule and bring their ideals to work together as a team, to ensure that governance will get to the grassroots level.
